Joy Newgard:  Joy’s interest in the program started, because her Great Aunt was the very first "Miss Shakopee" in 1929 and her daughter was "Miss Shakopee" in 2008. She has been fundraising for three years for the Shakopee Derby Days, Shakopee High School Academics and Athletics, and numerous other local events.
